In 2017, Musk claimed he was trying to cut back on sugar. He told *Entrepreneur* he wanted to start his mornings with an omelet and coffee.

However, his habit didn’t last long. By 2023, he confirmed on social media that he eats a donut every morning.

A Twitter user once warned him about sugar, calling it “poison.” Musk responded bluntly: “I eat a donut every morning. Still alive.”

Musk’s love for Diet Coke is well-documented. In 2023, he posted a photo of his bedside table covered in soda cans. He has openly shared his preference for caffeine-free Diet Coke, especially from soda fountains at movie theaters.

Back in 2007, Musk revealed he drank up to eight cans of Diet Coke daily. Speaking to Inc., he said excessive caffeine made him feel like he was losing peripheral vision.

He added: “I got so freaking jacked that I seriously started to feel like I was losing my peripheral vision.”
